Program/Service Notes:
All older adults 60+ in Douglas County are entitled to an Aging Services Navigator to help them thrive in their own homes. These services include assistance with Medicare, Medicaid, license plate sticker discounts, and homestead exemptions. Aging Services Navigators can also work with you to review your options for in-home assistance, personal emergency response systems, nutrition assistance and more. Older adults can also call us for help with mild-to-moderate depression symptoms and for access to social opportunities to combat the effect of isolation. These services are provided through the Senior Resources Center at Family Service. Family Service was Founded in 1911 and has been serving senior in central Illinois for many decades.
